Jabarie Walker
Jabarie Walker is the Founder and Principal of Poydras Strategies, a New Orleans-rooted public affairs and strategy consulting firm helping public, private, nonprofit, and civic organizations navigate government, engage communities, develop strategy, and move complex initiatives forward.
Walker brings extensive experience across government affairs, public-sector leadership, executive operations, community and stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, intergovernmental relations, and public affairs. His career has included senior leadership roles in municipal government and public agencies, where he has worked at the intersection of policy, government operations, executive strategy, and community engagement.
His experience includes serving in Chief of Staff and executive-office leadership capacities, advising senior executives on organizational priorities, government relations, stakeholder strategy, public policy, communications, and implementation. He has coordinated complex initiatives involving elected officials, government agencies, community organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and other external partners while helping leadership teams translate priorities into actionable strategies.
Walker also brings experience developing and managing government affairs strategies across local, state, and federal levels; building coalitions and strategic partnerships; facilitating community and stakeholder engagement; supporting strategic and capital planning; coordinating cross-functional initiatives; preparing executive briefings and decision materials; and representing organizations in public meetings and stakeholder environments.
Throughout his career, his work has been grounded in an understanding that successful public-facing initiatives require more than good policy or strong ideas. They require an understanding of how government works, meaningful relationships with stakeholders, thoughtful engagement, clear strategy, and disciplined execution.
